Meeker is located in the Northwestern corner of Colorado and is the county seat for Rio Blanco County. Known for its excellent fishing opportunities, the White River extends from the Flat Tops Wilderness Area and the White River National Forest to the east, meandering thru the valleys and the Town of Meeker, eventually reaching the Green River to the west in Utah. The White River National Forest is famous for its large Elk herds, as well as other recreational opportunities.
